Last year today: I was at work trying now to throw up due to "morning" sickness, we closed on the house, moved in some things, and ate pizza for dinner on our card table (because the furniture didn't get there yet. We were so happy when our couch arrived so we didn't have to sit on folding chairs anymore!)
Fast forward one year.
Today: Lilly was at daycare all day-and for the first time I couldn't stop at lunch to see her. School starts tomorrow. I'm at work worried about getting everything organized and realizing that I have lots to do and then all of the sudden it hits me...where's my baby?? The panic feeling consumes me for a minute. Then it's back to work. I have to get my work done so I can get home to my sweet baby.
I'll live. I'll adjust. Is it a Happy Birthday? I'm not quite sure.
I'm off to eat chocolate cake and have a glass of wine. Nothing like wine and chocolate to lift my mood.
