Here's a typical day...Lilly wakes me up for the final time usually around 5:00. Usually, I can go back to bed for a bit. Before schoool: pump, breakfast, diaper change/get Lilly dressed (etc), (sometimes last minute diaper change or more than one if Lilly is being really tricky) then take her to daycare. During school: work, work, get interruped by a naughty kid, work some more, pump at my computer while I'm working during my lunch, have a 10 (maybe 15 if I'm lucky) min real lunch break, work some more, pump at the end of the day. 4:00 comes and I realize that I have so much to do, but I have to be done by 4:30 so I can really be done by 4:45 so I can get home to be with Lilly and feed her. Wash the pump/bottles so they can dry so I can put them together for the next day, get the milk ready for the next day, set out clothes, bath (for Lilly or just me)/dry my hair, oh yeah--Lilly--feed her...phew, I can sit for a while. I want to spend time with her, but on the other hand, hope she goes to bed so I can sleep. (What's Al doing, you ask? He has insomnia and other sleep issues so has been going to sleep anywhere between 8:00 and 9:30 because that seems to be the only time he can sleep.) Lilly usually goes to sleep and I can lay her down at about 10:30 and has been waking up several times during the night. Alarm goes off (I hope for a day with out a migraine)...repeat...
Al has been "helping" me more lately because he has to or I will really be a crazy person.
On a different note, I've been asking Al every day to grow some boobs so he can feed Lilly during the night because he's up anyway. I've been wishing for one good night of sleep for a while now. This morning, I was elated to look at the clock. I slept in until 6 AM......no wait, I read the clock wrong, it's actually 7 AM. Wow! Who knew I'd be so excited to sleep in until 7 on a Saturday?
What's Lilly been up to? She's really working on getting a tooth and has been more fussy than usual. Poor girl. But...she's so easily entertained much of the time. If you look at her and open your mouth wide open, she'll smile almost every time and even get a giggle much of the time. After a busy day, that giggle makes me feel so much better.
