Turkey Jerkey, OK, F-I-R-E

Turkey Jerkey

I didn't realize what happend right away, when Lilly was saying "Mama, hand." She wanted to use my hand to wipe off her tongue. Turns out, she hid some deli turkey in her toybox. When she found it today, it had turned into turkey jerkey (just like the infomercial). I guess it didn't taste very good. Maybe this is a sign that she has too many toys (or that we need to dig to the bottom of the toybox more often!)

"OK, Mommy!"

Remember, the nice words she has acquired lately-"move it," "go way," and the ever popular, "lady, no!" Somewhere along the line, she picked up "OK, mommy" Yesterday, I was trying to get her to take a nap. She was talking about going to a friend's house to have pizza. I told her that we couldn't go until she took a nap. To my surprise, she said "OK, mommy," layed down, and went to sleep!

F-I-R-E

Al asked me (out of the blue) if we should have a f-i-r-e. Lilly said, "Fire, yea!" I didn't think she could possibly know what f-i-r-e spells, so I asked her what she said. She said "firewood." I guess we spelled it too many times before & she remembered it. Outsmarting us already--we're in trouble!
