Sitting Up

Lilly can sit up. Well, she can sit up if I sit her up and then help her get her balance. She can do it without the pillow for up to a minute or so....AND I can now do a sit-up, too. 6 + months post c-section (I used to be the sit-up queen). Another reason not to have a c-section.

Lilly is enjoying the "where did the baby go" game. It's a version of peek-a-boo where I throw a little blanket over her head and wait for her to peek out. She mostly likes the traditional peek a boo game but if I get too wild and jump out from behind the door she either thinks it's wildly funny or terrifying.

Lilly ate peas today. I don't think she was too impressed. I was worried that I'd be slimed by green spit-up, but luckily it didn't come back up.

I was happy that I finally got to the mall today to get baby gap socks. They are the only kind that have really worked for her. I was so impressed that they stayed on for an hour or so. I was changing her diaper, looked away, looked back and the little stinker was chewing on her new sock. She really doesn't need any toys. Just socks and her feet. She has some little shoes coming on back order that are like the generic robeez (like moccasin boots with velcro). So far Lilly's ahead in the "Put Some Socks On" mom challenge 08--but there's still time for me to make a comeback before winter! Maybe it's just payback. I used to complain it was cold in the house and my mom would always say--"Put some socks on."
