Danta!!

I didn't think LIlly would be excited about Santa this year. I thought she was too little.... (Written a month or so ago)

She was talking about Santa and likes our little accordian playing Santa that moves and plays music. We took her to the Shriners to see Santa. Before we left, we were telling her to say, "Santa, Welk!" She was so excited to see him up until we got within three feet of Santa. I wasn't surprised, but I wanted to give her a chance to see him since she was so excited and talked about him so much. I thought that would be the end of the Santa experiences for this year but....everytime we got in the car the next weekend Lilly would say, "Santa, lap!" During the week when we left in the morning, she would say bye bye to the accordian playing Santa and then one day she said "Ya you" (love you) and then blew him kisses. I know I'm the mom, but how cute is that? We thought we'd give it another try. All the way to see Santa, Lilly continued with the "Santa, lap! Santa, lap! Santa lap!" talk.

We got in line, and you guess it-started crying as soon as we got within three feet of Santa. I told Lilly that guy was Santa and then she said "Hi, Santa" and briefly stopped crying. No picture this time... We went back to visit but he was gone so this is the picture we got on this excursion. As we left the house yesterday morning, Lilly says, "bye, bye, little Santa."
