Motherhood and Marathons
Thought of the day...
Running a marathon and being a mom have a lot in common. Doing a marathon/being a mom for a short time isn't hard, it's exciting, repetitive (at times), tiring, and a big commitment. Yet, there are great rewards in both.
What's new with Lilly: putting her fist in her mouth, kicking off her socks and hiding them in the couch (I know, like me), hitting at toys that hang down from above, entertaining herself in the swing or with the toys for more than 10 minutes.
What's new with Julie: going to the grocery store as the big exciting outing of the day, cleaning my car is exciting, getting up to 5 hours of sleep at a time, and thinking clothes are clean if they've only been spit up on a few times.
